Paris 2012
The girls went to Paris for a long weekend in February. They were exhausted but had fun.

Had to drag ourselves out of bed by 9:00. As we headed over to the metro we stopped at the Monoprix and picked up a croissant beurre.
Went down into the metro and used the machine to get our carnet (10 pack of tickets). The machine was in English or French. Whew!!
Took the metro to Ecole Militarie and walked up? Down? the Champs de Mars for a great view of the Tour Eiffel. Unfortunately there were only two pillars open one for the elevator and one for walking up (which was not happening). We had to wait two hours! Ugh!
We spent about an hour and a half up in the tower. Had a croque monsieur, before heading the Bir Haikem metro stop.
The weather today is better. No mist, just cloudy and breezy.
Back to the metro to the Arc de Triomphe. After walking up the typical spiral staircase of Europe, we had a great view fo the Champs Elysees.
Strolled down the Champs Elysees and stopped in a Quickie for a soda and to rest our feet.
Hopped on the metro at Grand Palais to Rue de la Republique. Went to dinner at Cafe Republique. Kristen had pasta with tomato and basil.. She thought it was going to be something special, it was just pasta with sauce. A bit disappointing . I had salade fermerie (greens, tomato, Gruyere cheese, potatoes and LARDONS!) Awesome! Kristen had a taste and said we had to come back tomorrow night, so she could get the salad.
Went into the Monoprix around the corner and picked up my favorite cookies, La Paille D’Or aux Frambioses. And found a new favorite! La Paille D’Or flutes aux framboises.
Back to the hotel around 9:00, chatted with Dave and in bed at 9:30.
