Day 8
We were out of the apartment by 9:30 and at the cooking class in about 5 minutes. There were a total of 12 people in the class all couples, 2 from San Fransisco, Boston, Arizona and New Zealand. By the time we left we'd been there for 6 hours. We made four course from scratch, stuffed zucchini flowers with eggplant and mozzerella, proscuitto and mozzerella, homemade pasta with tomato sauce, ratatouille, chicken saltimbocca and finally lemon sabayon with peaches in brandy sauce. The class prepped and cooked most of the food. Chef Andrea finished up with his wife and served the class in the main dinning room. The class was a lot of fun and worth every penny.
Every morning around 7:15 the street cleaning truck cleans the piazza from last nights festivities. Thank goodness the bedroom is in the back, since the festivities usually last past 2:00 in the morning.
