Alejandro Escovedo
On April 11, 2009 we saw Alejandro Escovedo at The Studio in Freehold.
It was an amazing show. Mr. Escovedo played with his guitarist, David Pulkingham. He writes great songs and really sings with passion. David Pilkingham is a very talented guitarist. The two of them have been playing together for a long time and are in perfect sync with each other.
How close were we? As close as the photos show. No zoom. He played thru a PA but barely needed to. At the encore he stepped in front of the mic and played acoustic, about 1 foot from us. Then they went to the back of the room and played for those in the yard, including Kristen who had stepped out and couldn't get back in because someone was blocking the door.
After the show Jill got an autographed photo for my guitar room, and I went up and shook his hand.
He really enjoys playing in a venue like The Studio, and we really enjoyed seeing him there!
