2013 Rome Day 1
rrived around 9:00 checked out the apartment, Kristen took a nap for a bit, met with Sari the owner. Freshened up and went out in search for lunch of pizza and lemon sorbet. Walked around neighborhood for a about two hours. Went back to apartment to look at the guide book and some of our other papers and ventured out again for a couple of hours. Went across the Tiber to Island in the Tiber and Piazza Camp di Fiori will have to go back for their market. Went in to a couple of little shops and looked around, cute clothes in one, but everything was written in English and not Italian. Back to the apartment to rest the feet. (almost 40 steep steps up to the 2nd floor apartment). Went out to an early dinner of Pasta alla Amarticano me and Kristen gnocci sorrentini, both very good. Walked around the neighborhood again in search gelato. black cherry and peach, both very good, Face timed Dave for the 3rd time (which is nice). Then early to bed 9:00.
